Taking into consideration the decision of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and of the Headquarters of the Civil Protection of the Republic of Croatia, we kindly ask you to comply with the following instructions.

In the light of the recent situation regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, by decree of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, all lectures will be suspended for two weeks, starting from Monday, 16th of March 2020, until 30th of March 2020.

The European Universities Initiative was launched in 2017, with the aim of establishing international networks of higher education institutions across the EU that share a common long-term strategy and promote European values. 

At its regular session in January 2020, the Senate of the University of Zadar appointed Professor Zvjezdan Penezić, PhD for the new Vice Rector for science and information infrastructure. 

On January 17, 2020, the foundation stone was laid marking the beginning of the construction of a new student restaurant building with student pavilions at the New Campus of the University of Zadar. It will house a total of 284 students. 

In addition to its existing membership in the international Web of Science database, the journal [sic] is a member of the prestigious SCOPUS database as of today.

The Department of Linguistics of the University of Zadar announces the 7th Zadar Linguistics Forum, which will be held this year as an international scientific conference entitled "New Contexts for the Use of Minoritized Languages/Varieties (NEWCON)".

Krešimira IV, br. 2, II. kat) , s početkom u 13.00 sati, Antonio OŠTARIĆ, prof., javno brani doktorski rad pod naslovom Ekologija jezične raznolikosti Zadra pred stručnim povjerenstvom u sastavu: izv. prof. dr. sc. Anita Skelin Horvat, dr. sc. Anita Sujoldžić, red. prof. u miru, i izv. prof. dr. sc. Sanja Škifić.

U četvrtak 19. ožujka 2020. godine u Rektoratu Sveučilišta u Zadru (M. Pavlinovića 1, II. kat, dvorana 2.3), s početkom u 13.00 sati, dr. sc. Tonći LAZIBAT javno brani temu disertacije pod naslovom Tema grada u poeziji Dragutina Tadijanovića pred stručnim povjerenstvom u sastavu: prof. dr. sc. Damir Matanović, prof. dr. sc. Robert Bacalja i izv. prof. dr. sc. Katarina Ivon.

U petak 20. ožujka 2020. godine u Rektoratu Sveučilišta u Zadru (M. Pavlinovića 1, II. kat, dvorana 2.3), s početkom u 11.00 sati, mr. sc. Ivica LEOVAC javno brani temu disertacije pod naslovom Die Darstellung der Donauschwaben in der deutschsprachigen Prosa der Gegenwart (Prikaz Podunavskih Švaba u suvremenoj prozi na njemačkom jeziku) pred stručnim povjerenstvom u sastavu: prof. dr. sc. Marijan Bobinac, prof. dr. sc. Goran Lovrić i doc. dr. sc. Ivan Poljaković.

Dana 11. ožujka 2020. preminuo je dr. sc. Slobodan Čače, umirovljeni redoviti profesor Sveučilišta u Zadru i ugledni znanstvenik.
