The Visit of Czech Ambassador


The 2nd Czech Day took place in the University of Zadar's „Božo Lerotić“ student club on 7 March 2016.

The Ludens literary association prepared an interesting programme of the manifestation dedicated to Czech culture. It was organised as a part of the Days of Croatian and Slavic Studies at the University of Zadar.

An exhibition dedicated to the writer Franz Kafka, a string of interesting lectures, and a film projection followed by casual socializing at the end all made part of this year's Czech Days.

Before the beginning of the Czech Day programme, Associate Professor Nedjeljka Balić Nižić, Deputy Rector for Studies and Student Affairs, and Associate Professor Slaven Zjalić, Deputy Rector for Inter-Institutional Cooperation and Technology Transfer, hosted His Excellency Martin Košatka, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Croatia, in the Rector's Hall.

The reception was also attended by Associate Professor Rafaela Božić, Head of Department of Croatian and Slavic Studies, and by Lecturer mgr. Kristyna Rygolova.

After introductory speeches, both sides expressed their satisfaction with very good cooperation accomplished so far, especially in the area of academic student exchange within the European Erasmus + programme. A wish and readiness to continue and advance the cooperation in the areas of mutual interest were confirmed.
