Her Excellency Susan Cox, Ambassador of Australia, visited the University of Zadar on 23 January 2015. The meeting was attended by Rector Full Professor Ante Uglešić, Vice-rector for mobility and projects Associate Professor Leonardo Marušić, Manager of Rector's Cabinet Marinela Borina Valčić, and Manager of The Office for Infrastructure Funds and Development Tamara Glušić.

After the Rector's introductory speech in which he represented the work and progress of the University of Zadar through history and present, as well as the contacts with Australian universities achieved so far, the Ambassador represented eight large Australian universities, the Go8 (Group of Eight), out of which she singled out the largest Macquarie University, due to its interdisciplinarity and international cooperation.

There are many opportunities and the wish to intensify cooperation considering study programmes offered by the University of Zadar and the interests of Australian universities which are primarily focused on biotechnological and social sciences.
