New Vice Rector for science and information infrastructure


At its regular session in January 2020, the Senate of the University of Zadar appointed Professor Zvjezdan Penezić, PhD for the new Vice Rector for science and information infrastructure. Professor Penezić will succeed in this position Professor Ivanka Stričević who is leaving for a new post.
Professor Zvjezdan Penezić was born in Bajmok, Subotica. He finished elementary and high school in Zadar. He graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zadar in 1996 with a degree in psychology. He has been employed at the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zadar since October 1, 1996. In 2004 he defended his doctoral dissertation entitled "Life satisfaction in adolescence and adulthood - testing the multiple discrepancies theory" at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities in Zagreb. In July 2017 he was elected academic title of full professor for the scientific field of social sciences, field of psychology, and a branch of general psychology. Before this appointment, he was the head of the Department of Psychology.
Professor Ivanka Stričević, PhD was the Vice Rector of the University of Zadar in her second term. At the end of November last year, the Government of the Republic of Croatia appointed her Director of the National and University Library in Zagreb, beginning on 1 February this year. The University Administration headed by Rector, Professor Diana Vican, PhD wishes her every success in her further career.
