Inaugural Visit of Hungarian Ambassador to Croatia


Associate Professor Ivanka Stričević, Deputy Rector for Inter-Institutional Cooperation And Technology Transfer, and Associate Professor Slaven Zjalić,  Deputy Rector for Scientific Affairs and Information Infrastructure, hosted His Excellency Mr József Magyar, Ambassador of Hungary, accompanied by Hungarian consul Dr Zorán Babity on Tuesday, 14 February 2017.

After welcoming words and introductions, the current cooperation, friendship and cultural liaisons between the two countries were discussed as well as possible future projects. Both sides expressed the wish to develop further university level cooperation and to continue and advance quality relations among universities and other institutions of the two countries.

Contentment with the quality of student and teaching staff academic mobility and a mutual wish to increase the number of incoming Hungarian students to the University of Zadar were expressed.

The University of Zadar, within the Erasmus + European Programme, realizes very good cooperation with Hungarian universities. Erasmus + contracts are signed with a number of higher education institutions in Hungary, among which are the University of Pecs, University of West Hungary, and many others. Except the Erasmus + project cooperation, contracts on bilateral cooperation have also been signed.
