EU-CONEXUS board meetings in Zadar


The leaders of nine European universities have gathered in Zadar in order to hold meetings in three days related to management and scientific work of the European university EU-CONEXUS. It is about alliance of European universities launched at the initiative of the European Commission, which consists of University of Zadar, La Rochelle University (France), Catholic University of Valencia (Spain), Agricultural University of Athens (Greece), Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest (Romania) and Klaipeda University (Lithuania). Recently, in the work of alliance as associate members participate Waterford Institute of Technology (Ireland), University Rostock (Germany) and Frederick University (Cyprus).

To the leaders of nine institutions this is first opportunity after the virtual monthly meetings during the pandemic to physically gather here in one place and hold meetings about current events in the alliance. Today, Research council meeting, tomorrow Governing board meeting and on Thursday Management board meeting of EU-CONEXUS-a will be held. On Thursday Management board will discuss about future steps in a stronger connection of partner universities. 

Today, on Research council meeting there will be discussion about connecting institutions in scientific field, such as connection of the projects Erasmus+ and HORIZON. At tomorrow's meeting of the Governing board with the Rector of the University of Zadar Prof. Dijana Vican will be attended by the Rector of the University of La Rochelle Jean-Marc Ogier, who is also Governing board president of the alliance, then the Rectors of University Rostock Wolfgang Schareck, Frederick University George Demosthenos, Klaipeda University Arturas Razbadauskas and other senior envoys of the heads of partner institutions in the alliance.
