Doctorate Graduation Ceremony


A graduation ceremony for the new doctors of science was held at the University of Zadar. A total of 21 doctoral degrees were awarded to the following graduands: Maximiljana Barančić, Željka Bedić, Ankica Bralić, Martina Čelhar, Iva Čulina, Eugenija Ćuto, Marija Dejanović, Larisa Grčić-Simeunović, Nansi Ivanišević, Sandra Jović Mazalin,  Radomir Jurić, Marko Kapović, Orsat Ligorio, Nedjeljko Marinov, Miona Miliša Jakšić, Ivan Peklić, Nada Poropat Jeletić, Tihomir Rajčić, Barbara Španjol-Pandelo, Tijana Vukić and Vlasta Vyroubal.

Besides Full Professor Ante Uglešić, Rector of the University of Zadar, the ceremony was also attended by vice rectors Full Professor Dijana Vican, Associate Professor Josip Faričić, Associate Professor Robert Bacalja, and Associate Professor Leonardo Marušić. The presenters Full Professor Slavija Kabić and Assistant Professor Tomislav Fabijanić read a short biography of each candidate.

The Rector held a speech addressing the new doctors of science, their families and mentors emphasizing that their achievement made a significant contribution to the whole community. Society as a whole is being built owing to the individuals who have accomplished superior results inspired by the tendency for new knowledge. He extended cordial greetings on his and on the University's behalf.
