Rector of the University in Zadar Prof. Dijana Vican and major of Preko Mr. Jure Brižić have signed an agreement on cooperation in the establishment and development of the future centre on island Ošljak, in which an interdisciplinary study of the island population, primarily demographic characteristics and processes, and island emigration in particular will be conducted. 
The University and Preko will cooperate in the joint application of international competitive scientific and professional projects, activities concerning popularisation of science, preparation of professional projects, studies, elaborates in the field of civil society and economic sector, conducting lectures and guest appearances on individual courses that are performed as part of the University's study programs and other contents of common interest.
