16th Josip Roglić Seminar

Organized by the Department of Geography of the University of Zadar, the City of Zadar, the Croatian Geographical Society - Zadar and the Education Agency, the professional event "16th Josip Roglić Seminar" will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, starting at 9:30 am. According to the new curriculum, geography is a science that deals with the study of relationships and reflection of natural and social elements in the geographical space in order to plan a functional and optimal spatial organization and management in accordance with sustainable, intelligent and inclusive development. Geography has an essentially integrative character and thus a special position in the system of sciences as a bridging science, i.e., as a link between the natural and the social realms. In its research, it also uses findings from the humanities and technical areas of science. The theme of this year's seminar is therefore interdisciplinarity in geography.

The presentations will be given by Prof. Ph.D. Josip Faričić, Associate Professor Ph.D. Robert Lončarić, Assistant Professor Ph.D. Fran Domazetović, Assistant Professor Ph.D. Maja Cindrić, Josipa Čuka, mag. math. prof. Ph.D. Slobodan Ivanovic, Assistant Professor Ph.D. Daniela Birt. In the last session, examples of research in teaching geography will be presented by primary and secondary school teachers, Josipa Zanki, Mirko Andrić, Marija Ros, Tanja Šego Miketa, Ksenija Šaić.
