The single major linguistics MA program will enroll up to 12 students with full financial support from the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports. Foreign students can apply for admission as well, up to 3 foreign students will be enrolled.
The double major linguistics MA program will also enroll up to 12 students with full financial support from the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports. Foreign students can apply for admission as well, up to 3 foreign students will be enrolled. The double major linguistics MA program can be combined with any other double major MA program at the University of Zadar.
The tuition fee for foreign students will be determined by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports at the beginning of the academic year.
Enrollment and admission procedures
- Deadlines: Registration for the admission procedure will be open at the beginning of October 2015 (check announcement and instructions on the university’s webpage).
- The registration form can be downloaded on the university´s webpage.
- For registration you will need: a valid ID (passport, ID card, or domovnica); proof of residence or photocopy of ID card (foreign citizens need to hand in their residence permit or a photocopy of their passport containing a residence permit); birth certificate; certificate of finished BA studies in the qualifying domains for linguistics; a list of courses, grades, content, and hours/ECTS points taken so far for the BA studies; a proof of payment of the registration fee of 200 HRK for application to the linguistics program.
Guidelines for admission
Students are expected to submit a short essay of max. two pages explaining their motivation to study linguistics, and in particular their specialization interests, chosen from the description of the program and its specialization tracks, and the description of the faculty's special areas and interests.
In addition, the admission procedure consists of an interview with the faculty of the Department. The interviews will take place in October 2015 at the Department of Linguistics (Trg kneza Višeslava 9, 23000 Zadar).
