Marija Šarić is a postdoctoral associate at the Department of Sociology of the University of Zadar. In 2021 she completed her higher education with the doctoral thesis defence at the International Joint Degree doctoral programme in the Sociology of regional and local development of the University of Zadar and University of Teramo, Italy. Through the topic of her dissertation, International circular labour migrations: experiences of women from Slavonija, she deepened her scientific interests in qualitative methodology, and sociology of work, gender, and migration. She teaches qualitative methods courses and a course on theory building in sociology, where she is dedicated to cultivating a sociological imagination, and creating a space for critical thinking and open discussions.
