European Studies: Languages and Cultures in Contact

The postgraduate program “European Studies: Languages and Cultures in Contact” reflects a broad, interdisciplinary approach to the profound understanding of Europe in all its linguistic, historical and cultural diversity. It will focus on topics such as multilingualism and multiculturalism in the national and European context, minority languages and cultures, intercultural communication, European cultural and intellectual history and European integration. The program is compatible with similar programs at other European universities and its aim is to provide insights into the latest developments in the field. The project will introduce the new European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) at the Zadar University as one of the ways to adopt common European higher education standards and to promote teacher and student mobility on the national and international level.
