Assistant Mario Katić is back from one month mobility (September 2014) at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Sarajevo University. His mobility was supported by Erasmus Mundus JoinEU-SEE Penta. The Archaeological Department of the Faculty organised a lecture which was titled The Practice of Marking the Resting Place with the Deceased in European Context. The lecture was well attended by the students and resulted in a very constructive discussion. After the extensive work done in the Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Zemaljski muzej Bosne i Hercegovine), Mario Katić focused on field research trying to locate places where the practice of marking the resting place with the deceased was and still is familiar.
According to the results of the Erasmus 2013/2014 competition for Ph.D. students, assistant Sandra Urem has been approved to be part of mobility programme Erasmus SMS with the purpose of studying at the University of Padua (Dipartimento di Storia), Italy. The attendance at the University of Padua consisted of the completion of the summer semester during the academic year 2013/2014, for the duration of 7 months. Sandra Urem used the time during her period of stay at the Universtity of Padua to aid in the completion of her dissertation, which consisted of both research and writing. The University Library was of considerable guidance for the research towards her dissertation. The availabilty of the texts associated with the dissertation topic as well as the broad field of visual anthropology and ethnographic film allowed the student to form a more comprehensive understanding of her field, which in turn positively influenced her work.
