Short Biography
I was born in Rijeka in 1970. At the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Split, I studied English and Russian language and literature. From 1995 to 1999 I worked at the High school of Bartul Kasic in Pag, as an English teacher. From the academic year 1997-1998 I worked at the Department of Russian Language and Literature, Faculty of Philosophy in Zadar (Phonetics and Phonology, Methodics of Russian Language Teaching). I defended the master thesis Anglicisms in Russian computer terminology in 2003, under the mentorship of Željka Fink Arsovski, PhD., full professor. In academic years 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 I taught at the University of Split, at the Department of English Language and Literature (Contact Linguistics). From February to August 2009, I was on a scholarship, provided by the Government of the Russian Federation, at the Faculty of Philology, University of St. Petersburg. In 2009 I defended my PhD thesis Anglicisms in Russian and Croatian Economic Terminology, under the mentorship od Željka Fink Arsovski, PhD., full professor. Since 2009-2010 I have been working at the Department of English, University of Zadar. In February 2012 I received the academic title of an assistant professor.
