The objective of the conference is to discuss state-of-the-art methodologies for teaching specialised translation. Alongside translation methodologies the topics of the conference include tools and methods to enhance the quality of translation, such as corpus linguistics, terminology and phraseology description, linguistic and discourse analysis. The conference contributions will be delivered in three modes: plenary sessions on different aspects of specialised translation studies, case studies on specialised communication, and finally the presentation of three different models of terminology databases used by translators, teachers and students.
Our mission:
-
• to bring together researchers and practitioners interested in the application of a multilevel approach to specialized translation
-
• to explore linguistic, terminological and discourse-theoretical principles related to the practice of specialised translation
